Bev and Stewart first met Mary when she called into the gallery whilst visiting Lymington. She showed us her work and we immediately loved its wonderful vibrancy and sheer ‘joie de vivre’.
Mary is based in Picardy, France, and her work ranges from impressionism to pure abstraction:
‘Hints of Monet and a sprinkling of Joni Mitchell. But in my own style that I have built up over the years’.
Many of Mary’s paintings are inspired by her love of colour, light and nature and, in particular, her own wonderful French garden. She exhibits widely in France and the UK, and Coastal Gallery is delighted to represent her work in Lymington.
