Having grown up on the Sussex coast, the sea runs through Ingrid’s veins. Her Fine Art degree, specialising in photography and sculpture, was largely influenced by the ocean. Constantly shifting between two and three dimensions, photography is now Ingrid’s medium of choice – painting with light and form ‘in-camera’.
Time spent racing onboard ‘state of the art’ classic and modern yachts focused Ingrid’s camera lenses on such beautiful boats. Equally at ease photographing them from a helicopter or fast chase boat, Ingrid’s expertise lies in conveying the action, drama and emotion of world class sailing in all its forms. Negotiating all weather conditions to capture the perfect shot is all part of the job. Elegant classic yachts, regal superyachts and the Grand Prix sailing circuits feature in Ingrid’s twenty five year portfolio.
Ingrid’s photography has lead her to some of the most visually spectacular nautical locations, from Bermuda to Barbados, Miami to Monaco. She wants the viewer to be transported to the sailing arena and vicariously to soak up the ambience whether it be of serenity or high-octane action.
Two Olympic Games, America’s Cups and Classic regattas rank amongst Ingrid’s achievements. Her work has featured in luxury lifestyle magazines, including Tatler, sports publications and international newspapers, including the New York Times, Daily Telegraph and The Times. Ingrid’s photographs are in private collections in the UK, Europe and South Africa.
